Pleasant Valley High School offers 28 clubs involving over 600 students. Below are clubs, advisors and a brief description. Be sure to check the daily bulletin for meeting times or contact the club advisor for more information.
 
Academic DecathlonMr. ParkerAcademic competitions between schools
Art ClubMrs. RickmersArt Club is a community service organization as well as an art-oriented group. Art Club annually participates in "Pastels in the Plaza", the Empty Bowls fundraiser, and has a weekend field trip to San Francisco's art museums and galleries. Art Club members exhibit their work locally and help publish the PV Art Calendar.
Asian/Pacific Islander ClubMrs. BesnardPromotes and celebrates ethnicity on campus, participate in multicultural week.
Athletic SocietyMr. UtterbackAthletic Society is a club for student-athletes. Members in good standing will receive any sport patches they earn during the school year. Our "mission" as a club is to be supportive of all athletes and promote good sportsmanship and social interaction.

Chess ClubMr. ChristensenChess strategies and competitive play
Debate ClubMr. BesnardWork on those argument skills!
Fellowship of Christian AthletesMs. GulbrandsenGuest speaker every other Tuesday. All are welcome.
FHA-HEROMrs. BurnsFHA-HERO offers members opportunities for developing leadership skills, exploring career paths, interacting with school and community members and coordinating chapter programs. These skills are developed through FHA-HERO activities and the home economics careers and technology curriculum.
Friday Night LiveMr. PeckFNL is a youth led organization that focuses on building leadership skills. FNL helps to raise awareness about substance abuse and violence and encourages youth to make healthy decisions. FNL participates in many county conferences, works with the Butte County Behavioral Health Dept. and does several community service projects each year. Participates in the "Every 15 Minutes" program held every other year.
Gay Straight AllianceMs. OlsenThe purpose of the G.S.A. club is to promote tolerance, understanding and to help stop discrimination and homophobia on our campus. This group is dedicated to bringing both gay and straight youth together to create an environment in which youth of any sexual orientation or origin can co-exist.
Globally Conscious YouthMr. CopelandVolunteer activities raise awareness and money for global issues.
Interact ClubMrs. CarlsonInteract is a Rotary Club sponsored community service club. Community projects include: September 11 Memorial Service, Red Ribbon Week, helping serve Thanksgiving dinner for the disabled, Adopt-a-Family at Christmas, Christmas caroling, helping serve at the Omelet Brunch in May and Coats for a Cause.

Key ClubMrs. Gregoire-BrownKey Club is a nationwide community service club. Our parent organization is the Kiwanis Club. We involve our members in a variety of community service projects throughout the school year.

National Art Honor SocietyMrs. RickmersNAHS is a national program that recognizes outstanding art students. NAHS has a special art exhibit with a reception and guest artist in the spring. Seniors wear a special cord or tassel at graduation.
Optimist ClubMrs. RixCome together and discuss situations and problems to help raise morale of students. "Look on the bright side and you're on the right side"
Peer Helpers/Conflict MediatorsMs. NicholsUtilize students to help resolve conflict.
SkaldermeadMs. RichterSkaldermead Club promotes student interest in literary publications such as short stories and poems.
Ultimate FrisbeeMr. BrownProvide school with ultimate Frisbee action
Video ProductionMr. PeckTeach and better understand the aesthetics of videos
Women's Rights ClubMs. CannonSupport women's rights in America and internationally
Yes ClubMrs. RollinsTo provide people the best citizenship, respect, and responsibility possible
Young LifeMr. DickmanProvide students the opportunity to participate in fun activities other than drinking, partying, dealing with images.
